Associate Director, Software Engineering - S&P Global
The Dow Jones Commercial Systems group is seeking an Associate Director, Software Engineering to join their dynamic and innovative team. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge financial applications. The successful candidate will lead the design and development of scalable full-stack applications using ReactJS, Node.js, and Java Spring Boot. They will also architect robust, high-performance solutions, develop responsive user interfaces, and build and maintain backend services. Responsibilities include: Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack applications Architect robust, high-performance solutions Develop responsive user interfaces with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS Build and maintain backend services with Node.js frameworks and Java Spring Boot Implement enhanced search capabilities using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch Deploy and manage applications in AWS cloud environments Design RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless frontend and backend integration Develop CI/CD pipelines for JavaScript and Java applications Utilize Git for collaborative development Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure software quality Basic required qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 10+ years of proven hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer Strong system design and architecture skills Expertise in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS Proficiency in Node.js and Java Spring Boot Additional preferred qualifications include experience with financial applications, trading systems, or market data platforms, and familiarity with caching strategies, messaging queues, and search technologies like OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
