The Wholesale Product Specialist is a key role at Sherwin-Williams, dedicated to providing exceptional service to our commercial paint customers. In this position, you will interact with customers to identify their needs, answer questions about our outstanding products, and recommend tailored solutions that meet their requirements. Your goal will be to resolve customer concerns promptly, ensuring maximum satisfaction while staying updated on product features to maintain the high quality standards of our offerings.
This position will be based at Store #5230, located at: 14310 Sullyfield Circle #50 Chantilly VA 20151, with the possibility of working at nearby stores within a 5-mile radius.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
Helping customers both in-person and over the phone, determining their needs, and presenting suitable products and services.
Building productive relationships with wholesale customers to foster trust and loyalty.
Accurately processing sales transactions in line with company policies.
Meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
Maintaining organized work order files and formulas.
Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
Tinting and mixing products to meet customer specifications.
Stocking shelves and creating engaging product displays.
Cleaning store equipment and supporting operational efficiency.
Loading/unloading delivery trucks and assisting with deliveries as necessary.
Keeping assigned areas well-stocked and visually appealing.
Staying knowledgeable about the products offered and discussing options with customers.
Adhering to inventory control processes.
Providing suggestions to enhance sales performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring visa sponsorship.
A valid, unrestricted Driver's License is required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
If currently employed at Sherwin-Williams, a performance rating of at least 'meets expectations' on the most recent appraisal is required.
Completion of all required HR Cloud eLearning courses is necessary if currently employed at Sherwin-Williams.
Preferred Qualifications:
A High School diploma or GED.
At least one (1) year of experience in retail, delivery, or customer service roles.
Experience selling paint and related products is highly desirable.
Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
Ability to communicate in more than one language is a plus; proficiency in Spanish is particularly valuable.
