Our client is a rapidly expanding, values-led company in the plant-based food sector, known for its high-quality products, strong consumer engagement, and dynamic brand presence. With a leading position in its domestic market and ambitious international growth plans, the company is now entering the DACH region and seeking a Sales Director to lead its business across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
This newly created role combines commercial strategy and brand development. The successful candidate will drive regional market entry and lay the foundation for scalable growth across multiple channels. The regional headquarters will be established in a major metropolitan area in Germany, providing strong access to talent, infrastructure, and key retail partners.
The Role:
Design and implement the go-to-market strategy for the DACH region, in close coordination with Group leadership Localize and launch the brand proposition with a strong consumer message and omnichannel positioning Build and manage a regional commercial team across retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and foodservice Establish and grow key account relationships with major grocery and retail players across the region Lead operational support functions as needed Represent the company with key stakeholders, partners, and industry bodies across the DACH region Collaborate closely with the company’s headquarter Your Profile: University degree in Business, Economics, Food Management or related fields At least 5 years of leadership experience within the food industry Strong understanding of multichannel structures, including grocery retail, specialty trade, e-commerce, and foodservice Proven track record in launching or scaling brands in the DACH region, ideally within the plant-based, fresh, or natural food segments Experience with organizational transformation, including team-building, and scaling of commercial operations Excellent knowledge of sales processes, negotiation frameworks, CRM systems, pricing, and channel strategy Previous exposure to growth-oriented or private equity-backed businesses is advantageous Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, pragmatic leadership style Strategic thinker with high execution capabilities and business acumen What Awaits You: A role with high strategic visibility and autonomy The opportunity to shape a high-growth international brand in a dynamic category A purpose-driven organization with a strong consumer mission and values-led culture Flat hierarchies, entrepreneurial spirit, and close collaboration with senior leadership Long-term development potential in an expanding European structure We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
