Head of Sales DACH to drive sales of medical imaging solution for surgical departments. Location: Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
About Surgical Reality:
Surgical Reality is a 3D surgery platform that helps surgeons better understand patient anatomy through patient-specific 3D models. Based on a patient’s CT scan, our technology generates a detailed, color-coded 3D model within minutes. These visualizations guide surgeons before and during operations, acting as a kind of “Google Maps” for surgery. Surgical Reality is CE/MDR approved, ISO13485 and ISO27001. Our technology is operational in multiple leading European hospitals.
Following initial interest from German, Swiss and Austrian hospitals, Surgical Reality is seeking a Head of Sales to lead sales initiatives in the German-speaking region, work both strategically and operationally: creating plans and executing on them. The individual will be responsible for converting trial hospitals to commercial contracts, collaborating with industry partners to accelerate penetration, implementing the technology in surgical workflow, identifying regional growth opportunities, and serving as the main point of contact in the DACH region.
The ideal candidate will bring deep medical sales experience, strong clinical credibility, and the ability to navigate complex hospital ecosystems with confidence and agility. In return you will be part of an exciting AI MedTech start-up and play a critical role in shaping the future and GTM strategy across the DACH region.
Responsibilities
Convert trial hospitals to commercial contracts and drive adoption of Surgical Reality’s solutions in the DACH region.
Collaborate with industry partners to accelerate market penetration and integrate the technology into surgical workflows.
Identify regional growth opportunities and act as the main point of contact for the DACH region.
Profile
Head of Sales DACH
Proven commercial expertise to scale up sales operations across DACH regions, leveraging early traction to build and accelerate Go To Market strategy.
Existing relationships with thoracic surgeons and key opinion leaders across DACH to enable rapid market penetration and adoption.
Clinical credibility and ability to engage with clinicians and surgical teams; curiosity about clinicians’ needs and challenges.
Seek creative opportunities to distribute technology, validate business models, find grant opportunities, or create partnerships with local parties.
Must-have experience
Minimum 7 years of selling medical/surgical instruments and/or digital imaging solutions into hospital environments.
Proven ability to drive adoption of innovative technologies in clinical settings.
Experience selling to complex hospital systems with multiple stakeholders (surgical staff, IT, information security, radiology, legal, procurement and hospital administration).
Agility and ability to work at pace and handle ambiguity.
Understanding or experience selling AI medical technologies.
Understanding of health markets across DACH region, reimbursement, and cross-country dynamics.
Clinical trial or real-world evidence generation experience.
Interpersonal Skills
Thrives in a fast-paced environment; agile and comfortable with change and ambiguity.
Self-starter who works well individually and with remote teams.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Competitive base salary aligned with senior sales leadership roles in medtech; performance-based bonuses and stock option package.
Fully remote role with flexibility to be based anywhere in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland with hospital visits and bi-monthly meetings in the Netherlands.
