Account Executive - Managed IT, cyber and voice services at Harbor IT Harbor IT is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) specializing in Cybersecurity, IT, and Cloud Services for a diverse client base. We are backed by Worklyn Partners since 2022 and have built a national platform through acquisition and rapid organic growth. The Account Executive will drive new business and manage existing client relationships within a defined territory, selling Harbor IT solutions including managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, UCaaS, and related services. Responsibilities
Service existing clients within the territory and generate new customer relationships through the sale of Harbor IT products and services. Meet or exceed revenue goals as established by senior management. Participate in business development and demand generation activities to support customer growth. Research accounts and prospects to understand their business and organization. Represent Harbor IT professionally and ethically at all times. Develop relationships with core manufacturer representatives covering the assigned territory or vertical. Cultivate relationships with multiple decision-makers within accounts, especially at the C-suite level. Effectively communicate Harbor Networks' value proposition to key stakeholders. Introduce company content experts (Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Executives) to key stakeholders. Utilize the company CRM and prospecting tools as directed by sales management; maintain consistent contact with all assigned accounts. Build a personal brand within the territory and grow business from a standing start. Engage in cold calling within the assigned territory to identify new customers and projects. Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop and sell Harbor Networks solutions. Work with pre-sales to develop proposals and statements of work. Forecast business accurately using the company CRM tool and develop new accounts in assigned markets. Prepare sales presentations, quotes, and proposals with minimal guidance; produce accurate business activity reports. Qualifications
Over 5 years of proven success in selling technology or related projects within a territory-based assignment for a Managed Service Provider. Deep understanding of outsourced/co-managed IT solutions for a large audience; technology background to discuss cybersecurity, Microsoft, IT maintenance software, networking, and unified communications as a service. Comprehensive knowledge of UCaaS platforms and their benefits. Extensive experience in consultative sales within a service-based organization. Record of success in a Sales Hunter role, consistently meeting or exceeding quota and growth targets. Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments; strong self-motivation and work ethic. Managed Service Provider experience. Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication; ability to present effectively. Proficient in solution selling; capable of engaging with senior-level stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree preferred; solid understanding of networking and client/server concepts. Experience in IT services/solutions sales; MSP, cloud, VOIP, and cybersecurity sales is a plus. Background that Will Help You Succeed
Proven experience in professional technology sales, including consultative and solution selling, needs assessment, and closing. Healthcare and/or private equity sector experience is advantageous. Strong end-user selling and negotiation skills; 3+ years in B2B quota-bearing hunter roles. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-initiated and enthusiastic. Comfort with presenting and developing proposals; excellent relationship-building abilities. Relevant networking and IT concepts knowledge; MSP, cloud, and cybersecurity familiarity a plus.
