Seeking a highly skilled

Technical Accounting Manager

to join an accounting and finance team within a leading asset management firm. This individual will play a key role in ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards. The role involves providing guidance on complex accounting issues, developing and maintaining accounting policies, supporting compliance initiatives, and partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Key Responsibilities Research and interpret accounting guidance, including U.S. GAAP, SEC rules, and other relevant regulations impacting the asset management industry. Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions such as revenue recognition, consolidation, investment accounting, acquisitions/divestitures, and share-based compensation. Draft and maintain formal accounting policies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the organization. Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to assess and implement accounting and regulatory requirements impacting financial reporting. Draft accounting memos and position papers to support conclusions and ensure documentation of key judgments. Monitor new accounting standards and pronouncements; assess impact to the firm and lead implementation efforts. Collaborate with financial reporting teams to ensure proper presentation and disclosure in external financial statements. Support internal controls and compliance with SOX requirements and firm-wide accounting policies. Coordinate with external auditors by preparing technical analyses and responding to inquiries. Mentor junior team members and provide training on technical accounting and policy matters. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred. 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) and industry experience in financial services or asset management. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, technical accounting research, and compliance requirements. Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies. Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across departments.
