The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operational performance of our multi-site senior living organization, which includes independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities. This role involves driving the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, developing financial tools and dashboards, and supporting strategic initiatives with actionable insights. Responsibilities Analyze financial performance across a multi-site portfolio of senior living communities, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Articulate financial trends and insights to community leaders, executive leadership, and investors. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and community pro formas in collaboration with operational and finance leaders. Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor KPIs at the community and enterprise level. Monitor and report on senior living KPIs, such as: Occupancy Rate Revenue per Occupied Room (REVPOR) Labor Cost per Resident Day Net Operating Income (NOI) EBITDAR Margin Operating Expense per Unit Move-in/Move-out Trends Length of Stay & Payer Mix Compare forecasted financials with actuals; create and explain variance reports. Support pro forma modeling for new developments, renovations, and acquisitions, including revenue assumptions and ramp-up models. Lead the development and refinement of forecasting and financial modeling tools, ensuring alignment with operational strategies. Develop automated and scalable reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of data analysis. Gather and consolidate data from multiple systems for strategic planning and forecasting. Assist with pricing strategies, including rent and service fee evaluations based on internal performance and market comparisons. Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences, including business reviews, board meetings, investor presentations, and earnings calls. Participate in monthly financial review meetings with community and regional leadership. Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support executive decision-making and growth initiatives. Support financial due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures. Collaborate with accounting on monthly close activities, including: Processing journal entries (e.g., payroll, depreciation, amortization, prepaid insurance) Assisting with monthly bank reconciliations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or related field required CPA or MBA preferred, but not required Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or strategic finance. Experience in senior living, healthcare, or multi-site operations is strongly preferred. Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, scenario modeling) Velixo experience is a plus Experience with financial systems and ERP tools (e.g., Acumatica preferred) Proficiency in data visualization and presentation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, PowerPoint) Strong understanding of financial statements and concepts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-financial stakeholders Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work product Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement Ability to interact professionally with executive leadership, investors, and cross-functional teams Benefits We offer competitive compensation and a full benefits package for full-time employees including a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) program, affordable insurance options, a 401(k) with a 4% company match, automatic life insurance and AD&D coverage, and a robust employee assistance program (EAP).
