The Truitt and White Lumber Company is a 3 generation Family run business that has been selling quality building products to the building community since 1946. Our success is based on providing professional and knowledgeable service as we meet our customers building needs. We believe in building strong, honest, reliable and respectful relationships with our customers and employees. Our Marvin Design Gallery features, promotes and sells, Marvin windows and doors as well Marvin Integrity windows and doors. We offer a variety of other non-competing brands such as Milgard Vinyl Windows, d Velux Roof windows and LaCantina doors. The showroom also supports our custom pre-hung door shop.
Job Summary
As a full time Window and Door Sales person, your focus will be promoting and selling our full range of Showroom products to our homeowner consumer base, professional builders and commercial clients. The job will require an outgoing friendly personality, good listening skills, accuracy and an ability to learn retain and explain product details. You will need a professional attitude, a pleasant disposition and good communication skills when working face to face or on the phone with clients. You will need good computer skills to process orders and research product information. You will need to be able to work in a team environment and be able to multi task when responding to customer needs. While some experience in selling millwork and building materials background is preferred, we also believe in working with and developing people with strong core attributes that are willing to learn and grow within our company.

Basic Responsibilities
work with customers to understand their door and window needs
understand project requirements and budgets
provide helpful information and focus
provide contractor referrals
prepare quotes for customers in a timely manner
follow up on active quotes
work with support staff to process orders
respond to phone and internet inquiries
work with product reps as needed
work with service department as needed
participate in ongoing product knowledge development
work with management as needed
follow up with customers on active orders as needed
work with door shop as needed
create purchase orders
work with the receiving department as needed
work with the dispatch department as needed
work with the credit department as needed
participate in after-hours sales meetings/training as needed
participate in customer sponsored events as needed
go to a jobsite if needed
Qualifications and Requirement’s
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to meet or perform the following essential requirements.
Education: 2 years college
Work Experience: 5 years in customer service sales rolls preferably within the building products or millwork industry
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft office based products and Point of Sale systems
Language Skills: Proficient in English reading, writing and speaking and uses professional business grammar, communicates in a friendly and helpful manner, fluent in Spanish is a plus
Math Skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and fractions and compute rates ,ratios and percent’s
Physical Demands: Able to sit or stand for extended periods, converse with people in person and by phone, use a computer, bend and kneel occasionally, walk on uneven ground, walk up stairs, reach and grasp and use tools like a tape measure, ride in and/or drive a car, occasionally be around noisy equipment, lift up to 30 pounds occasionally, work inside or outside, travel
Mental/Emotional Demands: Able to work closely with others in a team environment, work within deadlines and time constraints, work with demanding people or stressful situations while maintaining a positive attitude
Licenses: Current class C CDL and maintain an insurable driving record
Training: Some ongoing product training will be required that may involve traveling to the supplier or manufacturer. In house training will be provided on a timely basis and may require mandatory after-hours participation.
Work Schedule: 8am to 4:30pm Monday –Friday and some Saturdays 8am-12 noon, overtime will be used as needed
