AV IT Engineer 3 (Only W2 Resources) Duration:
6 months CTH Eliminate people who have the bulk of their experience as live event technicians. Seeking a highly skilled AV IT Engineer 3 with
strong Crestron expertise
and proven experience in
designing, installing, and supporting audiovisual systems in educational environments . The ideal candidate has hands-on experience
installing, troubleshooting, and servicing AV equipment , including projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, and control systems. They are proficient in
loading and managing program files on controllers and processors
and have a strong background in
AV system design and implementation . This resource brings
program and project management experience , capable of handling multiple projects, coordinating with IT, academic departments, and vendors, and ensuring AV systems meet technical and operational requirements. Comfortable
wearing multiple hats , they thrive in a dynamic campus environment, providing
onsite support, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance , while adapting to diverse responsibilities across technical and managerial areas. Key Skills:
Crestron programming, AV design, installation & maintenance, troubleshooting AV systems, program/file management, project/program management, educational technology experience, onsite support, multi-tasking in dynamic environments. 5-10% programming Touching AV control systems (mainly Crestron), displays/projectors, audio DSPs, video conferencing tools, networked AV devices, and classroom technology systems , while supporting
integration, troubleshooting, and project management
for all onsite AV technology. The ideal candidate possesses
excellent communication skills , capable of explaining complex technical concepts to
non-technical users such as teachers and professors . They excel under pressure, are
detail-oriented , and demonstrate strong
interpersonal skills
for collaboration with faculty, staff, IT teams, and vendors. Every Day Details
Morning Ticket Review & Prep:
Check AV support requests and ensure classrooms and lecture halls are ready for scheduled events. Onsite Troubleshooting:
Resolve AV issues with projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, and control systems. Program & System Updates:
Load and manage program files on Crestron controllers/processors and perform firmware updates. User Support & Training:
Assist faculty and staff, translating technical concepts into clear, non-technical guidance. Project & Installation Work:
Install and configure AV systems, ensuring functionality and compliance with design specifications. Collaboration & Communication:
Coordinate with IT teams, facilities, and vendors while documenting work and planning upcoming projects. Seniority level
