Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineering, Sr. Manager to lead a team of engineers at our Chaska Reagent Operations facility. The site manufactures highly technical consumables essential to patient diagnosis and Beckman Coulter Diagnostics products. The role focuses on developing, installing, supporting, and improving multiple semiautomated and automated equipment processes and driving projects that improve overall equipment performance, preventive maintenance effectiveness, reject reduction, output, and downtime. You will co-lead the introduction of new equipment and recommend automated solutions to optimize manufacturing flow and performance. This is an on-site role reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Process Engineering as part of the Reagent Operations management team in Chaska, MN. In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians to achieve departmental and company goals. Equipment Management: Oversee design, selection, installation, qualification, ongoing maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. Process Optimization: Standardize automation practices and propose changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs while maintaining high quality. Continuous Improvement: Use Lean, Six Sigma, and automated design to drive improvement; manage daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with development, procurement, and production to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes. Project Management: Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA to ensure processes comply with standards and regulations; lead risk mitigation, validation, and design change in a regulated environment. The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biomechanical Engineering or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience. 5+ years in a management or technical leadership role with demonstrated proactiveness and agility. Ability to manage multiple tasks and interact effectively across functional groups and levels. Understanding of process controls on highly automated equipment. Proven ability to lead teams through challenging situations and run site tiered management meetings to set daily priorities. Continuous improvement mindset with ability to coach peers and direct reports. Demonstrated ability to provide constructive performance coaching to individuals and teams. Preferred/Plus Factors cGMP experience Database structures and application architecture understanding Experience with Power BI and data modeling Lean concepts including TPM, SMED, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, and Tiered Daily Management Strong teamwork, innovation, and comfort with ambiguity Ability to balance short- and long-term company goals Beckman Coulter Diagnostics offers a comprehensive benefits program. The annual salary range for this role is
$160k-$190k . This range is the current estimate of possible compensation and may be modified in the future. This job is eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
