Overview
Automotive Service Director (Busy Import Dealership) – Western Massachusetts. Automotive Service Manager/Service Director needed for a leading import dealership. The successful candidate is energetic, motivated, process driven, consistent, and leads by example. The dealership is stable with many long-term employees, a beautiful facility, and a reputable dealership group. The Service Director will have support from upper management and coaching from Chris Collins Coaching to grow leadership skills and professional development. Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department. Create and implement processes to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability in the service department. Set a clear vision for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals. Hold daily and weekly department meetings, as well as 1:1s with individual team members. Maintain green CSI by building relationships with customers and ensuring high-quality service. Oversee the Service Advisors and ensure ROs are written up and closed out in a timely manner. Manage and supervise technicians, ensuring work meets high standards and timelines. Provide training to service technicians to improve skills and knowledge. Recruit, interview, and train service staff; handle performance reviews. Create an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty. Develop and manage budgets and operating plans for the service department; monitor performance and adjust as needed. Maintain knowledge of latest automotive technologies and industry trends. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Monitor and control warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Ensure the Service area is customer-ready with proper displays and information. Other duties as required. Compensation range will be in the $170,000 - $200,000 range for the successful candidate, with further room for growth. Health Insurance (company pays for employee premium).
