Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees a team of production employees, manages workflow, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and drives continuous improvement initiatives to support operational goals. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members to meet production schedules and customer demand. Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards, conducting safety audits, and promoting a culture of safety awareness. Monitor production output, labor efficiency, and material usage; take corrective actions to meet productivity, quality, and cost targets. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards. Conduct daily team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations. Train, coach, and evaluate team members; provide feedback, discipline, and recognition as needed. Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Materials, and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime and resolve production issues. Monitor and report performance metrics such as throughput, scrap, rework, and downtime. Maintain accurate records of production activities, attendance, and incidents. Support continuous improvement efforts, lean manufacturing practices, and 5S initiatives. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and cross-training of production staff. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field. 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication or electrical/mechanical assembly. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles. Proficiency with ERP systems (JobBOSS), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and use of manufacturing tools and equipment. Exposure to noise, heat, and manufacturing environments. Equal Opportunity
