Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a high-paced automotive production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing and a proven track record in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are consistently met while driving process improvements across the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production team members to ensure timely completion of production schedules.
  • Lead, coach, and develop hourly production staff, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management) to drive improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap rates, downtime, and throughput, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and policies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and support new product launches.
  • Participate in or lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action teams to resolve production challenges.
  • Manage timekeeping, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment in an automotive environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP/MES).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or other automotive quality systems is a plus.
