Job Overview The role of Project Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. To be successful, the candidate should be comfortable taking on a variety of tasks that require different skills and appropriately prioritize their completion. As a Project Engineer in the Commercial Division, you will be assigned to the island of Oahu. The types of projects in our Commercial Division continue to be Hawaii’s most successful commercial projects that bring jobs to our state. Projects include hospitals, residential communities, and resort buildings throughout the islands. Primary Functions & Responsibilities

Responsible for detailing using software for field use, including shop drawings for rebar, forming, scaffolding, traffic control, etc. Review subcontractors' and vendors' shop drawings to ensure conformance with contract drawings and specifications. Update RFIs electronically into Drawings and Specifications for all design packages. Assist the project team in coordinating drawings across all disciplines to identify conflicts or clashes. May need to use BIM 360 or Autodesk. Assist the QC Manager in processing RFIs, submittals, contractor daily reports, QC reports, project photos, QC meeting agendas and meeting minutes, and environmental meeting agendas and minutes. Perform other miscellaneous project engineering tasks as needed or assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or completion of a Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent. Minimum of 6 years of practical construction experience. Preferred experience in Concrete/Precast or Wood Framing work, residential communities, affordable housing, and vertical buildings. Basic estimating and scheduling skills. Ability to read and understand plans and specifications. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe are helpful. Ability to plan and organize tasks, and function under pressure or time constraints. Benefits
