Responsibilities
As a Manager of the Stress, Loads and Dynamics team located in Littleton, CO, you will lead a multi-disciplinary analysis team that supports multiple programs and lines of business across Lockheed Martin sites.
Provide direction to the analysis team efforts and coordinate staffing needs, including subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Be responsible for technical oversight and on-time delivery of the group’s work products.
Maintain and improve associated analysis processes and support strategic initiatives such as migrating analysis to the Simulation Data Management framework.
Basic Qualifications
Experience with Commercial Space, Space Vehicles and/or military programs, hardware, and analyses.
Strong technical background in aerospace structural analysis of spacecraft, missile systems, electronic components for power, RF, and/or avionics, using standard FEM tools and classical analysis methods.
Proven ability to accomplish results through lower level subordinate supervisors, associate managers, and exempt professional staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in assignments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including customer technical liaison for Technical Interchange Meetings and Design Reviews.
Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and lead groups of engineering personnel.
Expertise in the design, analysis and testing of aerospace flight hardware.
Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with this Structural Analysis managerial position.
Demonstrate leadership attributes, promoting an active, inclusive and diverse work culture which fosters innovation and technical talent mentoring and growth.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills
Strong technical and management skills in aerospace structural analysis, spanning both missile and spacecraft, including finite element analysis and classical analysis methods.
Knowledge and experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and configuration management processes; knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter / CAE Manager and the corresponding data model.
Knowledge of model-based engineering workflows and processes including geometric associative Finite Element Analyses.
Considered a technical leader in aerospace structural analysis and test with direct experience.
Previously demonstrated leadership experience of a large group or team, with ability to provide personal and technical leadership and guidance.
Ability to work closely with engineering functional and program management, and with other Engineering, Manufacturing, and Assembly, Integration & Test leaders.
Control Account Management certification, Certified Principal Engineer certification, Green Belt certification, and New Business Proposal experience including authoring Basis of Estimate documents.
Familiarity with the LM Space Systems Company customers, hardware, and analyses.
Knowledge of analysis of metallics, composite materials, bonded joints, bolted joints, and additive manufacturing.
The ability and willingness to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For other locations, salary will reflect final work location. This is a general guideline and will depend on factors such as scope, experience, and market conditions.
