About The Role
The Director, Product Marketing, will serve as the strategic leader of the Product Marketing function. This role will lead a team of Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) who are responsible for translating technical product and software capabilities into engaging marketing messaging, highlighting business benefits along with product features and specifications. The Product Marketing Director will serve as the day-to-day contact and project manager for our Infrastructure products including hydrants and valves which comprise a large portion of annual revenue. The Director will work across functions within Marketing including Integrated, Digital and International teams to effectively direct, execute and measure marketing campaigns. Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of Product Marketing Managers in the development of strategic marketing programs in support of the new product development (NPD) process Act as the main point of contact for the infrastructure business to develop marketing strategy, plan and collateral materials in support of product launches Ensure team collaboration with Product Management to ensure alignment on product launches and release updates Guide the annual product marketing planning process Budget development and management Lead the development of product positioning and messaging, including market value propositions Drive the execution of marketing plans and strategies across functions to achieve product revenue goals Partner with Sales stakeholders to compile market intelligence to identify opportunities for customer acquisition and adoption of product lines Communicate value proposition to sales team and work with Senior Marketing Manager to ensure effective sales enablement as new products are launched Create materials to support competitive analysis for product categories Serve as Marketing subject matter expert (SME) working with third-party agencies to direct the development of content for lead nurture campaigns, social media, SEO and PPC campaigns to build and support market demand throughout the product lifecycle Minimum Experience:
Minimum 7-10 years product marketing with at least 5 years’ experience managing teams Experience in B2B manufacturing or distribution preferred Demonstrated experience developing digital marketing programs with quantifiable results Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required. Preferably a degree in Marketing, Business or Communications Technology Platforms: Experience with Asana, LeanKit (or other project management platforms), SalesForce.com and Marketing Cloud (formerly Pardot) preferred Mueller offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
