A leading institutional investment organization is seeking a
Legal Counsel
to join its growing in-house legal team. This is a unique opportunity to support a global investment platform that serves a critical public mission while working alongside highly experienced asset management attorneys. About the Role: The Legal Counsel will play an integral role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, advising on a wide range of matters including: Negotiation and drafting of derivatives and trading agreements (ISDAs, MRAs, MSFTAs, prime brokerage, securities lending, collateral agreements) Assessing legal, regulatory, and tax implications of derivatives transactions Advising internal investment and trading professionals on compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Supporting public records requests and other organizational legal needs Collaborating across investment, compliance, risk, and operations teams What You’ll Bring: JD from an accredited law school Between 7-11 years of post-JD experience
in a law firm or in-house environment Strong background negotiating and advising on derivatives and trading agreements Experience with consultant/service provider agreements and tax considerations a plus Familiarity with securities laws, public records law, and investment management structures Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex legal challenges Why This Role?
