Job Description - HUMAN RESOURCES PARTNER GENERALIST (T226826) Human Resources Partner Generalist

Requisition ID: T226826 Location: Birmingham, AL Compensation Range: $47,665 $77,455 The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a collaborative and solutions-focused Human Resources Partner Generalist to join our HR team. In this role, you will serve as the primary HR contact for a college, school, or large department within the University. As a valued partner to department leadership, you will help drive HR strategy, promote employee engagement, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures in coordination with UABs Office of Human Resources. Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the lead HR contact for assigned college, school, or department, independently managing HR services for employees across faculty and staff populations Act as a front-line advisor to department administrators on HR-related issues including employee relations, organizational planning, and workforce strategy Manage and coordinate staff and faculty recruitment, including applicant screening and hiring recommendations Administer and ensure compliance with UAB HR policies, practices, and procedures Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring a positive employee experience Collaborate with the Office of Human Resources to implement new initiatives and resolve complex HR matters May serve as faculty relations liaison and oversee administrative staff or HR-related projects within the department Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required A minimum of three (3) years of related human resources experience Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage confidential information Experience advising or partnering with leadership on HR strategies preferred Note: Work experience may not substitute for the education requirement.
