Summary
The Provider Recruiter plays a critical role in advancing our mission by identifying, engaging, and securing exceptional physician and advanced practice provider (APP) talent across our health system. This position manages the full-cycle recruitment process, serving as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to clinical and administrative leaders. By delivering a high-touch, values-driven recruitment experience, the Provider Recruiter ensures alignment with our culture of compassion, trust, respect, teamwork, and innovation.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement innovative, competitive recruitment strategies for physicians and APPs across specialties and locations.
Build and maintain strong sourcing pipelines through candidate outreach, passive engagement, and partnerships with residency/fellowship programs, medical associations, and national platforms.
Conduct candidate screenings to evaluate skills, cultural fit, and long-term organizational potential.
Partner with departmental leadership to deliver organized and impactful interview experiences.
Present, negotiate, and finalize employment offers, ensuring transparency on compensation, benefits, relocation, and organizational culture.
Provide ongoing candidate support throughout the hiring process, facilitating smooth integration into both the health system and local community.
Maintain accurate applicant tracking in Workday and contribute to recruitment dashboards and analytics.
Collaborate with Medical Staff Services, Credentialing, Onboarding, and HR to streamline offer-to-start transitions.
Represent the organization at regional/national conferences, job fairs, and career events, promoting the employer brand.
Ensure compliance with hiring regulations, including J-1 Visa and H-1B processes.
Advise leadership on workforce planning, retention strategies, and service line growth.
Champion the Employer Value Proposition in all candidate communications.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Expertise in provider sourcing, screening, and offer negotiation.
Understanding of clinical hiring cycles, including resident/fellow transitions.
Healthcare Industry Knowledge
Familiarity with provider credentialing, licensure, and regulatory considerations.
Knowledge of immigration processes impacting provider hiring (e.g., J-1, H-1B).
Relationship Building
Proven ability to build trust with candidates, providers, and stakeholders.
Dedication to delivering a personalized and engaging candidate experience.
Strategic & Analytical Thinking
Ability to anticipate workforce needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly.

Education & Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
At least 3 years of professional experience in recruitment or a closely related field.
Valid drivers license with ability to travel to sites and events as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare recruitment and onboarding.
Direct physician or APP recruitment experience.
Familiarity with Workday ATS.
Supervisory or project coordination experience.
CPRP, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification.
Work Environment
Hybrid model: remote flexibility with regular onsite presence and travel for recruitment events and conferences.
Availability for occasional evening/weekend commitments to accommodate candidate or leadership schedules.
