As the Corporate OpEx Master Black Belt, you will play a vital role in guiding cross-functional teams, including finance & accounting, human resource, supply chain, contracts, corporate affairs, IT, legal & compliance, regulatory affairs, and EHS & security to amplify performance and efficiency across all areas of our business processes. Your Journey with Us - Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Spot Opportunities for Growth: Dive into the value stream to identify improvement opportunities that align with BWXT's Key Performance Indicators. Lead Kaizen Events: Assemble teams, facilitate engaging Process Kaizen events, and expertly document the outcomes to drive meaningful enhancements. Define Value: Clarify the value for various functional areas and groups to increase effectiveness across the organization. Visualize Success: Utilize value stream mapping and process mapping to distinguish between Value-Add (VA) and Non-Value Add (NVA) activities. Eliminate Waste: Collaborate with all levels of the organization to systematically identify and eradicate waste using visual management, 5S, and standard work principles. Empower Through Training: Assist in developing and delivering Kaizen training programs for the workforce, empowering everyone to contribute to our improvement culture. Required Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in continuous improvement. Lean Six Sigma Proficiency: A Master Black Belt certification is required. Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Must demonstrate a strong potential for leadership and the ability to build effective relationships. Proactive Implementer: You thrive on implementing improvements and efficiently managing various Kaizen events simultaneously within deadlines. Problem Solving with Ease: Ability to lead teams through challenging situations and propose impactful improvements. On-Site Role: Preference to work at our Lynchburg corporate office location. Pay: $132,000 - $203,000 The base salary range for this position in Virginia at the start of employment is expected to be between $132,000 and $203,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
