STR8 FINANCIALS CONSULTING is hiring: Accounting Manager in Savage

The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function for a $120M residential renovation company, overseeing high-volume AP, month-end/quarter-end close, and construction-specific financials such as job costing and WIP analysis. This role combines technical accounting, financial reporting, automation initiatives, and team leadership in a professional, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high volume AP (~7k invoices/month) with domestic and international staff, and lead automation/AI initiatives.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including reconciliations, accruals and journal entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Lead construction/project accounting: job costing, WIP analysis, revenue recognition, and profitability reporting.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and support external audits.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff across AP, AR, and project accounting.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, but Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Experience in construction or project-based accounting is preferred.
• Understanding of job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and construction accounting concepts.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit procedures.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct ERP and intermediate Excel skills (Pivot tables, IF statements, XLOOKUP).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Base Pay Range

$75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
