Medical Assistant Certified - University Village at CommonSpirit Health. Virginia Mason Medical Center and CHI Franciscan have united to provide patient-centered care across the Pacific Northwest. Responsibilities
Assist providers and other members of the health care team in the clinic with back-office and patient-related tasks to ensure smooth patient flow. Perform patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice, including injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws. Measure patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature). Manage rooming and patient flow, including pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties. Inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow; assist with front office activities and scheduling tasks; report test results as directed by the provider. Contribute to the Team Medicine approach and patient safety/quality improvements as part of the Virginia Mason Production System. Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program, with Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant – Certified (CM) Knowledge of third-party payer requirements Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with PC applications One year Medical Assistant – Certified experience preferred Pay Range
$27.25 - $38.49/hour Employment type
