Job description:
- Deliver direct instruction in classroom, small group, and one-on-one settings.
- Select, implement, and adjust teaching strategies to support student IEP goals.
- Conduct assessments for eligibility, placement, and progress monitoring.
- Develop and facilitate IEPs, organize and lead meetings, and document progress online.
- Adapt and modify general education curriculum for special education students.
- Provide supervision, training, and evaluations for paraeducators and classified staff.
- Implement and monitor individual and classroom behavior management plans.
- Maintain accurate lesson plans, data collection, and student progress reports.
- Communicate with parents, staff, and students on academic, behavioral, and transition goals.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington teaching certificate with K12 Special Education endorsement (or eligibility).
- Experience writing individualized curriculum and implementing IEPs.
- Knowledge of behavior management program development and execution.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with parents, staff, and administrators.
- Ability to use computer technology for documentation and data collection.
