About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Program Specialist who will be responsible for providing a broad range of support services for our San Diego Programs team. Working within this team, the key role of a Program Specialist is to drive the work supporting the team's processes which highlights the energy savings achieved for clients. This includes project tracking, scheduling, invoicing, performance data reporting, performing quality control reviews, and drafting summary reports. This position also provides ongoing operational, administrative, and logistical support for the team.
What You Will Be Doing Building internal processes to automate and streamline program workflows. This includes developing an implementation and communication plan to create buy-in from internal and external stakeholders Using program-specific tools, such as calculators and forms, and helping both internal and external customers use and troubleshoot the use of program-specific tools Using program-specific software, such as SharePoint, Ajera, PowerBI, and Gazebo to support team tracking and reporting needs Running energy efficiency program cost effectiveness analysis through California Energy Data and Reporting System (CEDARS) High level project and program support, including assembling sophisticated reports, analyzing large data sets and extrapolating appropriate material for the team Communicating effectively with program participants in a variety of ways Manage monthly invoicing process for team, which could include invoicing to utilities/programs for reimbursement and budget reconciliation. Identify and resolve any problems associated with data integrity of invoicing or billing Perform administrative quality checks of reports, presentations, memos, collateral, and other program-specific documents. Ensure all program requirements plus formatting/branding guidelines are met Prepare routine reports for both internal and external customers. This may involve running reports from program-specific software, analyzing data for accuracy and completeness, reconciling inconsistencies, reaching out to others for highlights/updates, and inserting exported information into report templates Training Program Specialists and other junior program staff Preparing presentations including slide decks, assembling participant materials, and securing/readying meeting accommodations Responding to immediate or unexpected program needs Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
This is a full-time, exempt position, with a preferred location of San Diego, CA. However, for the right candidate, we would consider a remote employee in either the Pacific or Mountain time zones. Minimal travel is anticipated for this role.
Qualifications Applicants for this role are required to have:
Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, with preference for business administration, project management, or similar area of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience 4+ years' experience in a progressively developing role supporting internal and external customers Proven customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and an understanding of process, numbers, and calculation A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
Previous experience with continuous improvement programs Experience in the energy industry Familiarity with databases or other large data sets For candidates whose experience may not align perfectly with all these preferred skills but can see themselves adding value in this role, we encourage you to still apply. Compensation & Benefits Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. The salary range for this position in San Diego, CA is
$77,440 - $96,800 - $116,160*/year. *Offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint to support pay equity and to ensure fairness and growth potential. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, and geographical location if different than the above.
