Job Description

• Design and execute research plans including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies

• Conduct 10–15 interviews and 5 ride-alongs with field users

• Identify blockers and usability issues in field environments (e.g., mobile use, internet connectivity, glove-friendly design)

• Analyze field data to understand incident creation patterns and operational challenges

• Request and digest data from field workers via ServiceNow

• Segment data to identify problem areas and improvement opportunities

• Synthesize findings into user personas, journey maps, empathy maps

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights into product development

• Work both in-office and on-site at Jupiter West with field teams

• Support strategy development for the upcoming year based on research insights

pay rate begins at $35/hr

Skills and Requirements

• Experience with user research using applications

• Ability to conduct interviews and field studies (including ride-alongs)

• Capability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data

• Proficiency in organizing and segmenting large datasets

• Experience with ServiceNow

• Ability to synthesize feedback and generate actionable insights

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Data Science, Human Factors, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in user research and data analysis

• Proficiency in any data organization/analysis tools such as SPSS, SAS, R, Python, NVivo, Excel • Experience in the energy or clean technology sector

• Familiarity with Figma

• Certification in UX Research or Data Analysis
