Heavy Highway Project Manager

The Heavy Highway Project Manager will: Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil projects including earthwork, utilities, site development, roadway, and bridge construction Lead project scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, and safety compliance Monitor project performance and ensure adherence to design, quality, and regulatory standards Prepare and review subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and public agencies Identify and mitigate project risks and support resolution of field issues Supervise project engineers, superintendents, and support staff MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The successful applicant will have: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 6+ years of experience in heavy highway civil building and construction, including leadership on site or infrastructure projects in Rochester 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Highway Project Manager Proven track record managing DOT, municipal, or large-scale site development projects Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and financial reporting Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, HCSS, Procore, or similar) Professional Engineer PE license is a plus but not required What's on offer: Opportunity to lead landmark infrastructure and civil works projects Supportive team environment with strong emphasis on safety and quality Competitive compensation and full benefits (medical, dental, 401(k), PTO) Clear pathways for advancement and professional development
