About the Role:

The Accounting Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our retail operations by managing day-to-day accounting tasks. This position ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely, supporting the overall financial health of the company. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing accounts payable to facilitate smooth financial operations. By utilizing accounting software and ERP systems, the role contributes to efficient financial reporting and compliance with company policies. Ultimately, this position supports the finance team in delivering reliable financial data that informs business decisions and promotes operational success.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics ERP and QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of bank reconciliation processes and accounts payable management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to process invoices and manage accruals accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the retail trade industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with additional accounting software or ERP systems beyond Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization before payment.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between company records and bank statements.
  • Manage accounts payable by tracking outstanding payments and preparing payment schedules.
  • Reconcile various accounts, including accruals and general ledger accounts, to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve discrepancies and support financial audits.
