Search Solution Group is seeking an Accounting Manager on behalf of our client, a company specializing in product representation and sourcing solutions, primarily within the outdoor power equipment market. The Accounting Manager will oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, managing inventory-related accounting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is critical to maintaining financial health and operational efficiency within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close.
- Oversee inventory accounting processes, including reconciliation and cost analysis.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for leadership review.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial strategy.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise and support accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a managerial capacity.
- Experience with inventory accounting or product-based businesses is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- CPA is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and cost accounting principles.
- Knowledge of internal controls, compliance standards, and financial regulations.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
