The college is located within the Greater Richmond metropolitan area. It serves students and the community at its two campuses, in Chester and Midlothoth; online; and in locations throughout its service area. Responsibilities

• Provide traditional delivery instruction (not virtual) on either the Chester or Midlothian campus of the college.
• Courses offered in the discipline include Financial and Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, Non-Profit and Government Accounting, Advanced Accounting, and Auditing.
• Special assignments may be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
• Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a masters degree with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in the specific discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level (additional consideration).
• Ability to use instructional technologies.

General Information

Adjunct faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer, 12 credit hours in the fall, and 12 credit hours in the spring. These limits are for total number of credit hours taught in the Virginias Community Colleges (VCCS). Additional restrictions may apply depending upon other positions occupied within VCCS.
