A leading manufacturing company is looking for an Environmental Specialist to join their EHS team in New Haven, CT. This is a single-site role, where you will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance at the manufacturing facility.

The Role:

• Organize, implement, and audit environmental programs and strategy at the plant, ensuring compliance to all regulatory standards
• Prepare and coordinate all environmental permits, reports and related requirements for facility - Air, Waste, Water etc.
• Complete environmental site inspections and audits providing recommendations and ensuring follow-up on corrective actions.
• Keep informed of existing and upcoming environmental regulations that may affect operational facilities
• Act as the point of contact and subject matter expert for both regulatory agencies and operational teams

The Candidate:

• 2+ years of environmental management experience working in a manufacturing environment
• B.S. in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related technical field preferred
• Self-starter who is able to work autonomously
• Excellent communication skills and able to interface with employees at all levels of the organization

The company offers a competitive base pay range of $80,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr. Benefits include medical insurance, vision insurance, and 401(k).
