Yakiniku Futago NY is operated as a casual Japanese BBQ. We offer top-quality Signature Cut Beef such as Wagyu and Prime Beef, served in a surprise and exciting environment that "Make You Wow". The company started USA operations in 2015 and currently operates three restaurants in NYC, including 2 Yakiniku Futago (Chelsea and Soho) and Izakaya Futago (Mid-Town East). The FTG company operates 100+ locations in Japan, Hong Kong, USA, and Indonesia.
We are looking for an experienced restaurant manager at Yakiniku Futago Chelsea. This opportunity is ideal for someone who would like to join a passionate team of hospitality professionals. JOB SUMMARY:
The Restaurant Manager will inspire, coach, lead, and manage the front-of-house team while working closely with fellow culinary team members to support the creation and delivery of an elevated guest experience that is in harmony with the food and beverage programs. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and a keen desire to continue learning and growing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The ability to lead with hospitality, inspire teams, and maintain exceptional service standards
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Provide hands-on coaching and elevate guest engagement
- Lead by example, inspiring staff to deliver a memorable food and beverage experience
- Display a genuine passion to facilitate and exceed guest service expectations
- Actively participate in the mentorship and support of all team members
- Develop a strong and positive rapport with staff and guests
- Drive positive results and align with business goals
- Under the direction of the Director of Operations, initiate and execute special projects
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Management experience in a Japanese casual dining setting
- Strong business acumen with a proven ability to provide insightful industry-leading solutions
- Administrative experience: Sales report, Employee Schedule, Payroll, and Inventory, Invoice Processing, Hiring Documents, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills, cost control, including the ability to analyze current business problems and implement recommended solutions
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to handle conflicting deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
- Knowledge of wine, sake, and spirit
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Full-time availability
- Possess the NYC Food Protection Certificate
- Knowledge of local, state, federal laws related to hospitality
- Ability and familiarity with POS System, Schedule Application, Microsoft Office, Delivery Platforms, OpenTable, Marketing Application

Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $75,000.00)
