Work schedule is currently Hybrid (3-4 days onsite) with full onsite during training. The Opportunity Are you ready to play a crucial role in safeguarding our nation’s maritime interests? We are seeking a dedicated Personnel Security Manager to join our team supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG). In this position, you’ll provide essential day-to-day support to key security personnel, including the USCG Security Manager, Special Security Officer (SSO), and Command Security Officer (CSO). Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of security protocols and ensure the smooth operation of critical security functions within the USCG. Responsibilities and qualifications below describe the work and experience needed to perform the role effectively. Responsibilities
Manage a small team of personnel security specialists, including personnel development, quarterly personnel assessments, bi-monthly timekeeping tasks, and oversight of the team’s daily/weekly/monthly tasks. Create presentation decks and brief Monthly Status Reviews (MSR) to program and client leadership on a monthly basis. Provide Weekly Status Review (WSR) documentation to program leadership. Create and maintain strong client relationships. Create/Review/Revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Process incoming/outgoing visitor access requests (VARs). Participate in annual self-inspections. Maintain personnel security records. Process foreign travel requests and EQIP requests. Conduct initial and annual refresher training. Maintain document control and investigate security violations. Issue courier cards and maintain accountability; review DD 254s and update access lists for all facilities. The ability to perform SCI debriefs and exit briefs is a critical skill for supporting the USCG. This involves: SCI debriefs, and related responsibilities. Debriefs
Conduct thorough debriefings for personnel with SCI access and ensure understanding of ongoing responsibilities to protect classified information. Review and explain non-disclosure agreements and address questions about handling sensitive information post-access. Exit Briefs
Perform comprehensive exit interviews for personnel leaving positions with SCI access; remind departing individuals of continuing obligations to safeguard classified information; collect remaining materials or access credentials; document completion of the exit process. Knowledge and Compliance
Stay up-to-date with SCI handling procedures and regulations; ensure debriefs/exit briefs comply with federal guidelines and USCG policies. Maintain accurate records of all debriefing and exit briefing sessions; communicate security concepts clearly and professionally. Qualifications
Required: TS/Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility BA/BS or equivalent years of experience 3+ years of employee management 3+ years of relevant personnel security experience, including: Security administrative processes; briefing incoming/outgoing government and contractor personnel EQIP/SF-86 familiarity; contract security experience; VAR processing Access list maintenance and DD-254 preparation; familiar with working in a classified workspace/SCIF Ability to provide security briefings/refresher training regularly Proficient with Microsoft Office Notes:

The proposed salary range for this position is $68,400-$143,700. Final compensation is determined by a range of factors including location, prior experience, skills, and certifications.
