Senior Data Scientist, AI Engineering , on the Operational Analytics & Insights team, you'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to develop data-driven solutions to Spectrum's business problems. What Our Senior Data Scientists Enjoy Most Planning and leading the complete analytics life-cycle for problem solving, including: requirements gathering, problem formulation, data grooming, data exploration, model prototyping, model validation, and algorithm productionalization Leveraging knowledge in analytical and statistical algorithms to assist stakeholders in improving their business Leading large-scale exploratory data analyses for new data sources or new uses for existing data sources Visualizing and reporting data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provide insight to the stakeholders and explain the importance of patterns in the data. Planning effectively to ensure analytics products are flexible, modular, and contain reusable code base You'll work in a dynamic office environment. You'll excel in this role if you are a self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team. If you have a strong command of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms, as well as a demonstrated practical ability to determine where to invest time, synthesize actionable findings across diverse assignments. What You'll Bring To Spectrum Experience: Data manipulation and statistical modeling as a Scientist, Consultant, Architect, DBA, or Engineer - 5+ Years; Programming Experience - 5+ Years Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or operations research, or equivalent combination of education and experience Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL; Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) (finetuning, retraining, and prompt engineering); Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Transformers for building and deploying models; Familiarity with advanced AI techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, LLM integration for enhanced information retrieval and generation, GPT and BERT; Experience in working with text data including Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques such as tokenization, lemmatization, sentiment analysis, text classification, topic modeling, and entity recognition; Expertise in data extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL); Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills; Familiarity with the properties of the major families of machine learning techniques Abilities: Work cross-functionally to solve complex problems; Perform involved and independent research and analysis; Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information Preferred Qualifications Experience: One or more scripting, analysis, or ETL languages and ability to rapidly learn new languages or techniques; Large data sets and the tools to obtain, transform, and store data on Big Data and streaming services; Distributed computing tools such as Hadoop or Map/Reduce Skills: Designing and developing AI solutions using common industry cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure ML, Databricks, AWS, Redshift, or Fabric Spectrum is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including job seekers with disabilities and veterans.
