I am partnered with a growing Insurance Defense Firm who is seeking a Maritime Attorney with a minimum of two years of litigation experience to handle a robust caseload. The ideal candidate will be a Florida-licensed attorney in good standing, ready to jump in and make a meaningful contribution to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal.
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and analysis.
Take and defend depositions.
Participate in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
2+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on maritime or admiralty law.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A team-oriented attitude and a desire to work collaboratively.
A portable book of business is a plus, but not a requirement for this position.
