Overview
As a Staffing Consultant, you will find, interview, and qualify job seekers for
temporary/contract roles
with companies in your local market. This is a full-cycle recruiting role. From sourcing to placement, you will run the entire recruiting process, engaging with job seekers by phone, email, or in person. You will coach candidates through every step of the job search process, from resume editing and interview tips to post-interview breakdown and accepting a new position. You will also participate in team discussions, post advertisements for open roles, and learn to use online sourcing tools and resources. This is a relationship-focused sales position; the harder you work, the more results you will see. You will be accountable to your goals and building your book of business.
Your Day
Identify prospective candidates via job board search tools, LinkedIn, internet searches, referrals, and professional networking Proactively cold call to identify prospective candidates and build a broad candidate base Interview prospective candidates Prepare candidates for interviews with client companies — review resumes, discuss client needs, conduct mock interviews Deliver good news — extend job offers and manage the offer process Stay in touch with candidates who are on assignment to ensure they have what they need

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; the role centers on listening, understanding, explaining, and collaborating with team members and candidates A love for working with people A high degree of self-motivation and persistence Leadership skills and a competitive drive Discretion and independent judgment about businesses and people to determine fit for Beacon Hill and its clients A drive to meet goals and metrics
