January 2026 - June 2026 Location & Schedule:
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a minimum 4 days per week onsite in our Boston office.
There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position. WHAT YOU'LL DO Be immersed in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly cross-functional team environment Develop your skills in mechanical design (3D & 2D CAD), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Structural/Thermal Simulation & Analysis, and Rapid Prototyping. Gain an understanding of the Mechanical Engineering role as a systems integrator within Consumer Electronics Learn how to transform unrefined, interdependent requirements into highly optimized solutions, covering test plan development, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing Design and develop components, assemblies, and fixtures to support testing in the areas of Acoustic, Thermal/Structural, Radio & Antenna, UI/UX, and Industrial Design Participate in failure analysis, root cause analysis and iterative design practices SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Basic Qualifications Currently enrolled in a BA or AA in ME, OR Completion of 2+ years (60-70 units) at a 4/5 year university in similar field while continuing to actively pursue degree in Mechanical Engineering, OR recent ME graduate Fundamental interest in and curiosity of all things mechanical, how they are designed, and manufactured! Demonstrated experience with 3D modeling tools (preferrably Siemens NX or PTC OnShape) Demonstrated ability to execute development tasks independently with a "can-do" attitude. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to collect and present technical data to a wide audience Open and willing to initiate peer review of one's work Ability to work in a highly diverse, cross functional team Sufficiently trustworthy to work in a high security, highly confidential laboratory Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with 2D detail drawing creation, DFM, DFA, DFMEA, tolerance analysis Hands on machining and/or fabrication skills An interest in audio, acoustics, speaker-building or music production PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS Currently enrolled or recent graduate in a College or University with a preferred field of study in Mechanical Engineering Available to participate in our full-time co-op program from January-June 2026 Ability to work out of our Boston office a minimum 4 days per week Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future.
