Principal Project Manager – Water/Wastewater
Jacobs is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead the execution of water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will provide leadership and technical expertise in project execution, work directly with engineering and construction leaders, and deliver innovative solutions in wastewater management. The role offers a unique opportunity to: Provide leadership and technical expertise in project execution. Work directly with engineering and construction leaders across the organization. Deliver innovative solutions in wastewater management. Interact with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, company management, project engineers, and industry-leading Design Builders. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise to drive project success and contribute to our reputation for excellence in collaborative delivery methods. This position offers the chance to be at the forefront of wastewater management innovation while working with some of the industry's most talented professionals. Responsibilities will include developing execution plans for projects, negotiating and managing sub-agreements, tracking and reporting on project performance, and providing technical guidance for deliverables. The successful candidate will also maintain regular and effective communication with clients and support the Business Development Manager and Client Service Managers in developing and expanding opportunities with existing and new clients. Requirements for the role include: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 months. At least 15 years of engineering design and management of municipal wastewater projects. Demonstrated experience managing the technical, contractual and financial risks associated with large/complex wastewater projects. Significant PM experience in multi-disciplinary projects and/or portfolio management or multi-project management. Proven experience in preliminary design, detailed design and contract administration /construction management on wastewater projects. Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teams. Advanced understanding of water and wastewater treatment engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others. Jacobs offers a competitive salary range of $170,000.00 to $230,000.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount.
