Associate Attorney (Employment and Construction/Litigation)

Overview
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorneys with 3-8 years’ experience for Employment associate roles or 3-10 years for Construction / Litigation associate roles. The successful candidates will join our team and work alongside shareholders and senior attorneys, handling both litigation and transactional matters within their practice area. Responsibilities
Manage and litigate cases in Employment law: wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour disputes, compliance advice, employer counseling, drafting employment policies, and investigating complaints. Manage and litigate Construction & Litigation matters: mechanic’s liens, stop notices, contract disputes, construction defects, payment & performance bond claims, delay/disruption claims, public works issues, etc. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements relevant to practice area (employment contracts, construction contracts, subcontractor and vendor agreements, licensing issues, etc.). Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, trial, or other dispute resolution proceedings. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, manage discovery, and deposition preparation. Assist in client counseling, risk assessment, advising on compliance, and helping clients avoid or mitigate disputes. Collaborate with internal teams, senior attorneys, and support staff to ensure high quality, timely, and efficient work. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (or equivalent) from an accredited law school. Admission to the California Bar. 3-10 years of relevant legal experience: employment law OR construction litigation (depending on hire track). Strong litigation and/or transactional experience in the relevant area. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft high-quality legal documents. Self-starter, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively, take guidance, and progressively handle more responsibility. Salary & Compensation
Salary range: approximately $130,000 to $275,000, depending on years of experience, skillset, and area (employment vs construction litigation).
