This role is pivotal in ensuring our clients receive top-tier service and strategic tax advice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, tax return review and tax consulting, coupled with excellent leadership and client management skills. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Lead Tax Preparation: Oversee and manage the preparation and review of complex individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns. This entails working with/assisting others as well as a significant amount of direct hands-on return preparation. Tax Planning and Consulting: Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and advising on tax implications of business decisions. Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters. Deliver exceptional client service by understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations. Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and professional development. Compliance and Research: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations, conducting thorough research as needed. Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient tax processes and procedures, leveraging technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and consulting, with at least 1 year in a managerial role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Intuit Lacerte and QuickBooks is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Why Join Us?
