Job Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects within the property industry. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary project details. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations. Monitor and update project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure accuracy. Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and quality services. Provide regular progress reports and cost analysis to stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and project documentation. The Successful Applicant
A successful Construction Estimator should have:
A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods. Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience working within the property industry is a plus.
