Job Description
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope and requirements. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project budgets. Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in project plans. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials, and labor costs. Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Assist in preparing bid proposals and negotiating contracts as needed. Track and document all estimates for reference and reporting purposes. A successful Estimator should have:
A strong understanding of construction project estimating and cost analysis. Proficiency in relevant software tools used in the property and construction industry. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. The ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
