Job Description
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive bids. Identify potential cost-saving measures and areas for value engineering. Maintain an up-to-date database of material, labor, and equipment costs. Prepare and present bid proposals to clients in a professional manner. Evaluate and manage subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure alignment with project requirements. Assist in post-bid reviews and project cost tracking to improve future estimates. Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and market conditions. The Successful Applicant
A successful Estimator should have:
A strong understanding of construction processes and terminology. Proficiency in estimating software and tools commonly used in the construction industry. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. A degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
