Job Description An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced tax professional to oversee compliance, strategy, and planning in a complex corporate environment. This role involves managing tax obligations for holding companies and a family office, working closely with the CFO and corporate controller to optimize financial structures and ensure operational efficiency. The Tax Manager will be working closely with the CFO and corporate controller. Beyond routine tax management, this position adds value to unique aspects of the family holding structure. Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, stakeholder collaboration, strategic planning, and adaptability. Responsibilities Tax Advisory: Collaborate with Canadian, U.S., and Mexican tax advisors to identify savings and efficiency opportunities. Support estate planning, corporate transactions, and wealth structuring in partnership with the CFO. Monitor and update tax instalments and projections, ensuring proactive financial management aligned with business objectives. Treasury: Assist the Corporate Controller with cash flow analysis and financial projections. Manage fund transfers by drafting fund flow memos and journal entries while coordinating with legal and financial advisors to ensure accurate financial transactions. Tax Compliance: Manage corporate tax filings across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. Lead CRA audits with a strategic, risk-based approach while handling correspondence. Prepare Canadian tax elections for reorganization transactions and assist with U.S. tax compliance. Maintain financial record-keeping for the family office, overseeing personal holdings, trusts, and regulatory filings. Other Special Projects: Work alongside the CFO on various initiatives beyond core tax and treasury functions, adapting to evolving business needs and contributing to broader financial strategies. Requirements CPA/CPA, CA designation with at least five years of relevant experience Strong understanding of holding company and family office reporting structures Proficient in TaxPrep T1, T2, and Forms Advanced expertise in Excel for financial analysis and reporting Experience in an accounting firm supporting private company groups or enterprises is an asset We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
