Logistics Coordinator
on behalf of our client, a global company specializing in sourcing, processing, and distributing high-quality spices, herbs, and dehydrated vegetables. Based in Myrtle Beach, SC, this role supports the daily execution of domestic and international logistics activities, focusing on shipment tracking, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. The Logistics Coordinator is vital to ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of goods while maintaining compliance and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and update shipment schedules; follow up with carriers and warehouses to confirm status.
Prepare and process shipping documents, invoices, and certificates required by customers and stakeholders.
Coordinate between sales, operations, warehouses, and transport providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Maintain accurate logistics data in SAP, ensuring all records are up to date.
Assist in verifying inventory levels and support warehouse operations as needed.
Provide administrative support for client requirements, including labeling, documentation, and recordkeeping.
Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding shipments and documentation; escalate complex issues to leadership when necessary.
Track freight invoices and collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely processing.
Prepare reports related to logistics activities, costs, and performance metrics.
Respond to issues, complaints, or claims related to logistics and deliveries.
Requirements include:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or administrative coordination.
Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications: None required; logistics or supply chain certifications a plus.
Knowledge: Understanding of domestic and international shipping documentation and processes.
Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, or distribution practices preferred.
