The Adult Services Division (ASD) of DCHS works in partnership with communities to develop, support, and provide human services programs focused on achieving results in housing stability, financial stability, healthy living, and social engagement for veterans, service members, and their families; older adults and their caregivers; and other resilient communities. The Adult Services Division (ASD) within the Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is seeking a proven leader to serve as Deputy Division Director. Reporting directly to the Division Director, this position will help lead the Director's Office, which oversees Community Storytelling, Evidence-Based Interventions, Compliance and Quality Control, Operations, Organizational Development, the King County Veterans Program, the Resource Access Team, the Policy and Community Engagement Team, Contracts and Compliance, and Procurement Services. Responsibilities: Division-wide Leadership and Direction (30%) Strategic Investment and Resource Stewardship (25%) Service System Access and Innovation (20%) Stakeholder Engagement and External Partnerships (15%) Program Development and Risk Management (10%) Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field. 10 or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in government administration, human services, transit, community development, and equity-centered service delivery. 5 or more years in executive leadership roles, leading multi-disciplinary teams of senior managers and professional staff in complex public sector environments. Desired Qualifications: A Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field. Additional professional coursework or training in policy analysis, equity frameworks, or organizational leadership. Direct experience managing levy funds, general funds, or multi-source public investment portfolios with strong outcomes in accountability, equity, and measurable community impact.
