Please Note: This recruitment is for a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) that is anticipated to end December 27, 2025. Only King County Career Service employees who have passed their initial probation will be able to apply. We are not accepting external candidates. King County’s Children, Youth and Young Adult Division operates three Reengagement Centers, including YouthSource Tukwila, Learning Center Seattle (LCS) at Seattle Central College and the Center for Education and Career Opportunities (CECO) at Shoreline Community College. This position will provide strategic leadership, vision, and operational support to CECO and LCS. All engagement sites provide case management, education, training and employment services to young people ages 16-24 years who have barriers to successfully engaging in education and employment including but not limited to: homelessness/unstable housing, criminal justice involvement, pregnant/parenting, high school dropouts, lack of work experience, substance abuse disorders and other behavioral health disorders. This position requires a highly skilled leader who can lead a multi-disciplinary team and manage multiple funding sources/grants/programs and partners, while also providing excellent customer service to the young people we serve. This position also provides functional leadership of the instructional services delivered by Shoreline Community College and Seattle Central College.
