Job Summary and Qualifications The Healthcare Sanitation Technician is responsible for the efficient removal and transport of various types of waste, ensuring all safety and health standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Adhere to all policies related to the handling and disposal of medical and hazardous waste. Maintain compliance with DOT and Hazardous Waste training requirements. Regularly clean and maintain waste holding and storage areas. Efficiently deliver clean linen and manage soiled linens as necessary. Assist with the cleaning and preparation of patient rooms before and after discharge. Understand and implement safety and sanitation protocols within the healthcare setting. Utilize various tools and resources to create a clean and safe environment for everyone. Engage with patients, families, and staff while performing duties respectfully and effectively. Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred. At least one year of professional housekeeping or janitorial experience is desirable.
