We are looking for a dedicated Hospital Sanitation Specialist like you to be a part of our team. The Hospital Sanitation Specialist is responsible for the removal and transport of all recycling and waste which includes solid waste, regulated medical waste, universal waste, pharmaceutical, and RCRA/hazardous waste. What you will do: adhere to policies related to storage, handling, and disposal of RMW, RCRA/Hazmat, solid waste, and universal waste, maintain DOT and Hazardous Waste training, clean waste holding and storage areas regularly, deliver clean linen to appropriate locations and remove soiled linens as needed, help with the cleaning and preparing rooms before and after patients are discharged from the hospital, be familiar with safety and sanitation requirements of a healthcare facility, appropriately utilize various supplies and resources to maintain a clean environment for all staff, patients, and visitors within the hospital, store, handle, and dispose of materials and supplies used to perform your duties within the hospital and industry standards, and interact with patients, families, visitors, and other hospital staff as you perform your duties. What qualifications you will need: High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred, experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred, at least 1 year of professional housekeeping or janitor experience preferred.
