Temporary Procurement & Inventory Specialist - Warehouse Operations
Location:
Apopka, Florida
Pay Rate:
$19.00 per hour Mon-Fri
Duration:
Approximately 3 months (with potential for extension or adjustment based on business needs.)
Role Summary
We're looking for a motivated and meticulous
Temporary Procurement & Inventory Specialist
to join our client's essential warehouse operations team in Apopka. This hands-on role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of our inventory and the smooth flow of materials. You will be the backbone of our asset tracking and reconciliation efforts, directly supporting procurement and maintaining an organized, safe warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is inventory integrity and operational support: Inventory Control:
Execute regular
physical inventory counts , thoroughly investigate and
reconcile discrepancies , and ensure all digital inventory records are accurate. Asset Management:
Systematically
track, tag, and document
company assets, ensuring all information is correctly entered into our asset management system. Shipping & Receiving:
Perform critical checks for all incoming and outgoing shipments, meticulously
verifying materials
against purchase orders, and packing slips. Material Handling:
Safely and efficiently
operate warehouse equipment
(such as pallet jacks and, if certified, forklifts) to move, store, and organize inventory and pallets. Procurement Support:
Collaborate with the procurement team by assisting with vendor communication and confirming the
accuracy of incoming orders. Quality & Safety:
Promptly identify and report any damaged, defective, or missing items. Maintain a clean, organized, and
safe working environment
in adherence to all company policies. Required Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this temporary role, you must bring the following:
Inventory Expertise:
Proven, hands-on experience in
inventory management , including executing full physical counts, reconciliation, and detailed record-keeping. Attention to Detail:
Exceptional ability to accurately count, track, and document high volumes of materials. Physical Stamina:
Must be able to
lift and move up to 50 lbs
and stand/walk for extended periods within the warehouse. Technical Proficiency:
Competency in basic computer applications, particularly
Microsoft Excel and Word
for data entry and tracking. Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and vendors. Work Ethic:
High school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Preferred Experience
Candidates with the following qualifications will be highly regarded:
Prior experience utilizing
ServiceNow
or similar professional inventory/asset management software. Previous experience operating warehouse equipment: a current
forklift certification
is a plus (or a strong willingness to be trained).
