Housekeeper with Cooking Skills (Temporary Position)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly professional and experienced
housekeeper with cooking skills
to support operations at an official U.S. government residence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the home in pristine condition while also providing high-quality meal preparation and waitstaff services for small-scale official and private events.Key Responsibilities:Housekeeping Duties: Clean and maintain all areas of the residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas. Perform regular housekeeping tasks: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, etc. Handle laundry: washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens. Care for household items such as furniture, appliances, and fixtures. Replenish cleaning supplies and household essentials. Support official events with waitstaff services (in coordination with residence staff). Cooking Duties: Plan, prepare, and serve meals for the principal resident(s) and occasional guests. Accommodate dietary restrictions and personal preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring food safety compliance. Manage food inventory and storage following hygiene standards. General Requirements: Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times. Communicate effectively with household members and other staff. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. Qualifications: Minimum
2 years of professional experience
in housekeeping and meal preparation, preferably in a high-profile or formal residence. Knowledge of safe and effective cleaning methods, tools, and products. Proficiency in using standard household appliances (washer/dryer, vacuum, iron, dishwasher). Experience preparing meals for small groups (2-5 people); no large event catering required. Excellent time management and ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Physical ability to perform household tasks, including lifting up to 20 lbs. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays Security & Compliance: Must be a
